Miles award finalist

? Kansas University senior Aaron Miles has been named one of three finalists for the 2005 Collegiate Basketball Award of Excellence presented by Creamland Dairies, the Albuquerque Convention and Visitors Bureau announced Friday.

The award honors college seniors for athletic and academic achievement. Other finalists are Texas Tech’s Ronald Ross and Utah State’s Spencer Nelson. The award will be presented Tuesday in Albuquerque.

On Friday, Miles scored six points with three assists and two turnovers in 27 minutes in Norfolk’s 92-59 loss to Portsmouth at the Portsmouth, Va., Invitational for fringe NBA prospects.
