Hoff services

Mr. Hoff died Monday, Sept. 27, 2004, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

He was cremated at Rumsey-Yost Crematory.

Mr. Hoff was born Nov. 1, 1939, in Wellington, the son of Eryll F. Hoff Sr. and Madre Brown Hoff. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish, a master’s degree in engineering, and a doctorate in education, all from Kansas University.

Mr. Hoff served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963 and was a member of the 3rd Army Band. He taught English as a second language at Kansas University for 10 years.

Survivors include two cousins, Eliza Lewis, Kennett Square, Pa., and Elaine Lindeman, Kansas City, Kan.
