Kansas University sophomore midfielder Nicole Cauzillo was named the Big 12 Conference Newcomer of the Week on Tuesday after scoring the game-winning goal in each of KU’s two victories during the weekend. The Northville, Mich., native is KU’s points leader with five on two goals and one assist.

Also Tuesday, the Jayhawks (4-0) slipped from No. 17 in the country to No. 21 in this week’s National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll.
