While baby-sitting the new neighbors’ children for the first time, Katie answered the phone … a loud burst of terror filled the phone speaker, as Katie hung up! As fast as she could, Katie sat on the couch as if nothing had happened. As the loud laughs, burps and clinging noises of toys filled the room.

Katie could not think, “Should I call the parents,” she thought in the back of her crazy head. The phone rang! Without any hesitation, Katie picked up the phone to listen. This time she heard not many screams, but a little girl no older than four cry in deep horror for her mother. Without any word the phone clicked!

Katie was in total shock and had a million things on her mind. “Why would these people want anything to do with this family,” she thought as she tried to come up with a plan. Without any word she rounded up the kids and ran out the door … she was going to the police!
