Kansas Senate candidates to chat online

The three candidates running for the Kansas Senate, 2nd District seat will respond to voter questions in live online chats next week on www.ljworld.com.

On Monday, Democrat Marci Francisco, a former Lawrence mayor, will chat at 1 p.m. (Submit a question early for Francisco.)

On Tuesday, incumbent Republican Mark Buhler, who now holds the seat, will chat at 1 p.m. (Submit a question early for Buhler.)

And on Thursday, Jim Mullins, a former conservative Republican who joined the Reform Party to run against Buhler, will chat at 1 p.m. (Submit a question early for Mullins.)

The transcripts will remain on the Web site through the election.
