The future groom is a graduate of Boonville High School, Boonville, Mo. He received an undergraduate degree from Central Methodist College, Fayette, Mo., and a graduate degree from the University of Missouri. He is principal of Nixa High School, Nixa, Mo.

The couple plan a Nov. 6 wedding at University Heights Baptist Church in Springfield, Mo.

Hersh-Phillips

George Jr. and Patricia Hersh, Shawnee, announce the engagement of their daughter Amanda Christine Hersh, Lawrence, to Ryan Stephen Phillips, San Antonio, son of Donald Jr. and Ruth Phillips, Waldorf, Md.

The bride-to-be is a 2000 graduate of Columbia High School, Maplewood, N.J. She studied sports and fitness management at Kansas University. She is employed by Pearson Government Solutions.

The future groom is a 2001 graduate of A Beka Academy. He studied political science at KU. He is enlisted as an Airman First Class in the U.S. Air Force. He is stationed at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

Dale and Sharon Maxwell, O’Fallon, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter Jamie Bacon to Jesse Heberling.

The bride-to-be also is the daughter of Roger and Sheila Bacon, Owensville, Mo. Her grandparents are Aaron and Jackie Kohrmann and Harold Bacon, all of Owensville, Mo. She is a 1998 graduate of Belle High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in technology from Pittsburg State University in December 2002. She is a warranty operations team leader at Cummins Inc. in Columbus, Ind.

The future groom is the son of Ron and Mary Heberling, Overbrook. His grandparents are Carl and Irene Heberling, Overbrook, and Patricia Vangemeren, Lawrence. He graduated from Santa Fe Trail High School in 1999. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in technology from Pittsburg State University in December 2002. He is a performance parts sales manager for A & A Transmission in Camby, Ind.
