Midwest Airlines announces increase in flights

? Midwest Airlines says it will increase the frequency of its flights and those of its regional carrier to 12 locations through Milwaukee and Kansas City, Mo., giving business travelers more choices in morning and evening travel times.

The company said Wednesday that Midwest Airlines would add one roundtrip flight daily between Kansas City and New York La Guardia and Reagan Washington National airports.

Midwest also will add one more roundtrip daily between Milwaukee and Dallas-Fort Worth, Boston, Kansas City and Philadelphia.

Regional carrier Midwest Connect will add a roundtrip daily between Milwaukee and Newark, Indianapolis, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Appleton, Green Bay and Madison.

Most flights will begin July 1 but those between Milwaukee and Philadelphia and Milwaukee and Boston start June 17. They will increase capacity 9 percent systemwide and improve the total number of connections to other Midwest flights by 20 percent.
