Phyllis Jean Bones Hollon

? Services for Phyllis Jean Bones Hollon, 67, Ottawa, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa. Burial will be in Princeton Cemetery.

Mrs. Hollon died Wednesday, June 23, 2004, in Williamsburg.

She was born Dec. 17, 1936, in Princeton, the daughter of Glen Harold and Verna Angeline Bair Bones. She attended Ottawa High School and was a lifelong resident of Franklin County. She moved into Ottawa in 1957.

Mrs. Hollon was a homemaker and worked as an assembler at King Radio in Ottawa from 1972 until she retired in 1996. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Ottawa and a former member of Methodist Church of Osawatomie, where she taught Sunday school and worked in the church nursery for several years. She was also a former project leader for Town & Country 4-H Club.

She married Robert Burney Hollon on Feb. 1, 1953, in Ottawa. He died July 23, 2003.

Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia Marie Barnes, Old Fort, N.C., and Teresa Lea Dixon, Rantoul; two sons, Robert Earl Hollon, Williamsburg, and Michael Eugene Hollon, Palm Bay, Fla.; a sister, Rose Marie Bingham, Ottawa; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. until the service hour today at the mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to the Phyllis Hollon Memorial Fund, sent in care of the mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa 66067.
