Lawrence commuter report

The following construction projects and events may affect commuter traffic in the region this week:

U.S. Highway 75 over the Wakarusa River, traffic narrowed to one lane for bridge patching and overlay.

Interstate Highway 70, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Thursday and 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, traffic reduced to one lane for sealing, patching and striping.

Kansas Highway 4 over Mission Creek, bridge closed for replacement. Detours via I-70 posted.

Stubbs Road from U.S. Highway 40 to Southeast 29th Street, closed for bridge replacement over I-70.

East 300 Road from North 1825 Road to U.S. 40, closed for bridge replacement over I-70.

Douglas County Road 1029, from Lecompton’s city limits to County Road 438, closed for road overhaul. Detours posted.

East 800 Road from County Road 438 to North 1750 Road, closed for bridge replacement over I-70.

U.S. Highway 59 and Kansas Highway 92, traffic reduced to one lane during the workday for milling and overlay.

U.S. Highway 73, southbound lanes restricted over Piper Creek for bridge repair and patching.

Rush, 8 p.m. today, Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, Bonner Springs.

Interstate Highway 435 from 98th to 87th streets, traffic reduced to two lanes each direction Monday-Friday and reduced to one lane each direction during weekends. Lane width reduced to 12 feet.

I-70 from the 18th Street Expressway to one mile east of Interstate Highway 635 and I-635 from Parallel Parkway to Metropolitan Avenue, traffic reduced to two lanes each direction and exit closures for construction. Detours posted.

U.S. Highway 169 at Seventh Street under Interstate Highway 35, traffic reduced to one lane each direction for bridge repair.

I-35 from Southwest Boulevard to Kansas-Missouri state line, southbound traffic reduced to two 11-foot lanes for road reconstruction.

Kansas City Royals vs. New York Mets, 1:10 p.m. today, Kauffman Stadium, Kansas City, Mo.

I-435 from Quivira Road to Metcalf Avenue, eastbound traffic reduced to one lane for road sealing, patching and striping from 7 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Thursday and 7 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday.

Ninth Street from Schwarz to Rockledge roads, parking restricted and lane closures for water line installation.

Sixth Street from Arizona Street to Arkansas Street, traffic periodically reduced to one lane in each direction for resurfacing project.

North Fourth Street from Elm to Walnut streets, restricted parking and lane and driveway closures for water line installation.

11th Street from Mississippi to Indiana streets, closed for intersection repair and curb replacement.

Vermont Street from 11th to 13th streets, parking removed and short-term lane interruptions for milling and overlay.

10th Street from Tennessee to New Hampshire streets, parking restricted on the north side for water line installation.

New Jersey Street from 11th to 14th streets, parking restricted on east side for water line installation.

Haskell Avenue from 11th to 13th streets and 12th Street at Haskell Avenue, closed for stormwater improvements. Detours posted.

El Dorado Drive, Bermuda Dunes Court, LaQuinta Court and Indian Wells Court, parking removed and short-term lane interruptions for milling and overlay.

Augusta Drive and Quail Creek Drive from Augusta Drive to 22nd Street, parking removed and short-term lane interruptions for milling and overlay.

Engel Road from 15th Street to Irving Hill Road, closed for road improvements, except for deliveries to residence halls.

Louisiana Street from 19th to 23rd streets, parking removed and short-term lane interruptions for milling and overlay.

Barker Avenue at 19th Street, closed for intersection improvements.

Rawhide Lane from 25th Terrace to 27th Street and Bonanza Street from Rawhide Lane to 27th Street, parking removed and short-term lane interruptions for milling and overlay.

O’Connell Road from 27th to 31st streets, closed for street improvements.
