Nolte-Welsh

Heather Nolte and Craig Welsh, both of Denver, were married April 17, 2004, at Boettcher Mansion in the mountains of Golden, Colo., with the Rev. Michael Woods officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Terry and Kenya Nolte, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Richard and Joan Welsh, Boca Raton, Fla. Grandmothers of the bride are Jerry Hill and Marge Nolte, both of Topeka.

Maid of honor was Wendy Nolte. Best man was Marcell Davis. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Hejaily and Alice Pickens. Groomsmen were Doug Welsh and Richard Welsh. Ushers were Ian Jackman and Brian Yount. Flower girl was Lindsay Welsh. Ring bearers were Sam Jackman and Cullen Welsh. Readers were Kara Welsh and Jennifer Roe. Wendy Nolte played the guitar and sang a solo.

A reception dinner and dance followed the ceremony at Boettcher Mansion.

The bride is a graduate of Topeka West High School and Baker University. She received her elementary education certification from Regis University in Denver. She teaches second grade at Douglass Elementary School in Boulder, Colo.

The groom graduated from Emerson College, Boston. He received a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Colorado. He is an architect with Sink, Combs and Dethlefs in Denver.

The couple reside in Denver.

Taylor-Cordero

Robin Taylor and Ramon Cordero Jr., both of Radnor, Pa., were married May 23, 2004, at sunset on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in Vieques, Puerto Rico.

The bride is the daughter of Toni and Dr. Orley “Chip” Taylor Jr., Berryton. The groom is the son of Zaida and Luis Cordero, Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico.

Wendy Taylor was matron of honor. Marc Levenson was the best man. Alyssa Simmons was flower girl. Jackson du Pont was the ring bearer.

The small private ceremony, held at the Wyndham Martineau Bay Resort, was attended by family and close friends. A reception followed the ceremony. A reception also was given today in Bucks County, Pa.

The bride is a 1982 graduate of Lawrence High School. She received Bachelor of Arts degrees in journalism and political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating with honors in 1986. She is a broadcast journalist who started in Austin, Minn., as a television news anchor and reporter. She also has worked in Rochester, N.Y. and Milwaukee. She now works in Philadelphia. In addition to producing television shows, the bride recently graduated from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania with an advanced degree in marketing management.

She met her husband while covering an international story about U.S. efforts to help Kosovo refugees from war-torn former Yugoslavia. Ramon Cordero is a photojournalist who was working for PBS at the time.

The groom is a 1975 graduate of Pemberton Township High School, Pemberton, N.J. After attending college, he accepted a job with New Jersey Network, the public television station in Trenton, N.J. In his 26-year career at NJN, he earned two Emmy awards and numerous accolades for his documentary work on science and technology and social issues such as domestic violence. He is a television news photographer for NBC in Philadelphia.

The couple reside in suburban Philadelphia.

Hayes-Carr

Lindsay Ann Hayes and Nicholas Carr, both of Bonita Springs, Fla., were married April 17, 2004, at Casa Ybel Resort on Sanibel Island, Fla., with the Rev. Dr. Vincent Carroll officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Tom and Cindy Hayes, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Rick and Becky Carr, Warrenton, Va.

Maid of honor was Sarah Hayes. Bridesmaids were Courtney Hayes, Julia Wolffe, Kim Barlow and Laura Podolak. Best man was Adam Brown. Groomsmen were Andy Hayes, Rafael Fernandez, Andy Heidt and Alex Ewing.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Thistle Lodge.

The bride and groom are 2002 graduates of Virginia Tech University, Blacksburg, Va.

Lindsay is employed by Ferguson Inc. in Naples, Fla. Nick is employed by Bank of America in Naples, Fla.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to Paradise Island, Bahamas.

They reside in Bonita Springs, Fla.
