Frank William Hanson

? Services for Frank William Hanson, 93, Ottawa, will be at 2 p.m. today at Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Ottawa.

Mr. Hanson died Friday, June 4, 2004, at Village Manor Nursing Home in Ottawa.

He was born Jan. 10, 1911, in Crawford County, the son of Charles August and Sara “Virgie” Nelson Hanson. He attended schools in Crawford County.

Mr. Hanson worked for 23 years at Willis Nursery, for 10 years as a janitor for USD 290 and for 20 years at Calvary Baptist Church, where he was a member.

He married Vista M. Jones on Feb. 25, 1966, in Ottawa. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Charles E. “Ed” Hanson, Shawnee; a sister, Pauline Harris, Commerce, Okla.; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A son, Frank Albert “Bud,” died earlier.

Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. until the service hour today at the mortuary, where family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. today.

The family suggests memorials to Midland Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Assn., sent in care of the mortuary, 235 S. Hickory St., Ottawa 66067.
