Clear, sunny weather expected

It’s a good week to shut off your air conditioner and open the windows to spring — the highs will be in the mid 70s and low 80s, with the overnight lows in the 50s through Friday.

“If you liked your Memorial Day, you’ll like today as well,” Matt Sayers, 6News meteorologist, said this morning. “Expect another day with low humidity and temperatures hovering around the 80-degree mark.”

Skies are expected to be mostly sunny, with winds 12 to 24 mph.

“Tonight, the temperature tumbles down into the 50s, so open up those windows,” Sayers said. More nice weather is on the way Wednesday.

“If you like the 70s, tomorrow’s your day,” Sayers said. The low will drop to 51 by Wednesday morning, with Wednesday’s high reaching 74.

Thursday will be another beautiful day, with the low starting in the morning at 52 and reaching a high of 77.

The temperature begins to warm up a little on Friday, with the low starting at 57, and the thermometer climbing up to 80 by the late afternoon.

The next chance for rain is the weekend. Sayers predicts a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms on Saturday.

The National Weather Service predicts a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday night and Sunday. The lows Saturday and Sunday morning will be near 63, with the highs reaching the low 80s on both days.
