Larry J. Blaylock

De Soto ? Inurnment services for Larry J. Blaylock, 67, Baldwin, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in De Soto Cemetery.

Mr. Blaylock died Monday, Jan. 5, 2004, at his home.

He was born Nov. 15, 1936, in Lawrence, the son of Harley and Marion (Young) Blaylock. He grew up and attended schools in the Olathe area. He graduated from Spring Hill High School in 1954.

He worked at his family’s restaurant, B & B Cafe, in Olathe, then began employment with Peter Kiewit Sons Construction Co. He retired in 1992 as a superintendent.

He married Janice P. Carr on Aug. 30, 1956. She died June 12, 1988.

Survivors include a daughter, Debbie Heinrich, Vinland; a son, Larry J. Jr., Kansas City, Mo.; his mother, Shawnee; a brother, Jim, Olathe; two sisters, Karen Lighter, Independence, Mo., and Judy Clark, Overland Park; and three grandsons.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Baldwin.
