Werner Florian Luetters

Mr. Luetters died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at Grisell Memorial Hospital in Ransom.

He was born April 27, 1913, in Ransom, the son of John William and Mary A. (Poss) Luetters. He was a lifelong resident of the Ransom area.

Mr. Luetters was a farmer. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church of Ransom and the Go-Getters Senior Center in Ransom.

He married Martha Luceille O’Neill on June 10, 1940, in Ransom. She died Nov. 26, 2003.

A son, James, and great-granddaughter also died earlier.

Survivors include a son, Charles, Ransom; four daughters, Mary Ann Munsch, Lawrence, Susan Bellerive, Merriam, Diane Harton, Wichita, and Kathleen Clement, Leawood; a sister, Katherine Kraus, Grainfield; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A parish vigil will be at 7:30 p.m. today at the church.

The family suggests memorials to the Adopt a Seminarian Program, sent in care of the Knights of Columbus Council 2352, Ransom 67572.

Fitzgerald Funeral Home in Ness City is in charge of arrangements.
