Clark services

Services for Lillie B. Clark, 93, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mustard Seed Christian Fellowship. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Clark died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, at her home.

She was born Oct. 10, 1910, in Yazoo County, Miss., the daughter of George and Hansey (Holston) Tyler.

Mrs. Clark was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethesda Temple in Alton, Ill., and attended Church of God in Lawrence.

She married James Clark on Nov. 27, 1927, in Boliva County, Miss. He died June 2, 1963.

Survivors include three sons, Doyle Clark, Alton, Ill., Lloyd Clark, Hutchinson, and Phil Clark, Lawrence; eight daughters, Bernice Zachary, St. Louis, Addiest Rouse, Country Club Hill, Ill., Lucy Walker, Dallas, and Josephine Galloway, Rose Shorter, Queen Clark-Shorter, Lillian Casper and Mary Rials, all of Lawrence; 69 grandchildren; 138 great-grandchildren; and 39 great-great-grandchildren.

Two daughters, a stepson and 12 grandchildren died earlier.

The family will greet friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to Cooper Home Care, sent in care of the mortuary.
