Joe Spector replaces some of the more than 1,200 U.S. flags that the wind had knocked over Wednesday in the front yard of his Overland Park home. Spector says he has placed one flag in his yard for each U.S. soldier killed in the war in Iraq. He decided to display the flags instead of holiday lights on his house. As of Wednesday, at least 1,303 members of the U.S. military had died since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count.
