Stephen C. Currie

? Services for Stephen C. Currie, 48, Olathe, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Mr. Currie died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, at University of Nebraska Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 26, 1956, in Pittsburg, the son of Caird and Dora Mae Currie. He was raised in Kansas City, Kan., and lived in Lawrence and Evansville, Ind. He graduated from Schlagle High School in Kansas City, Kan.

Mr. Currie worked at Rensenhouse/C.E.D. for 20 years and had been manager at various locations. He was a manager at Oklahoma Joe’s and Joe’s Corner Liquor. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where he coached in CYO. He also was a coach for Olathe Youth Baseball League.

He married Kathy Kennedy. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include his mother, Lenexa; two daughters, Angela Breitenstein, Walnut Creek, Calif., and Emma Currie, of the home; a son, Sam, of the home; a brother, John, Lenexa; a half-brother, Scott, Evansville, Wis.; and a half-sister, Cary Mitchell, Kiel, Wis.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Porter Funeral Home in Lenexa.

The family suggests memorials to the Emma and Sam Currie Education Fund, sent in care of any US Bank location.
