Clarice Brewer Mulford
Services for Clarice Brewer Mulford, 90, Lawrence, were Saturday at Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville, Ill. Burial will be in Mount Nebo Cemetery in Greenville.
Mrs. Mulford died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at Lawrence Presbyterian Manor.
She was born July 18, 1914, in Greenville, Ill., the daughter of Clarence Mathias and Myrtle Willeford Brewer. She was born and raised in the Terrapin Ridge Neighborhood. She attended Terrapin Ridge School and graduated from Greenville High School in 1932. She attended secretary school in St. Louis. She moved to Boston in 1940 and to Lawrence in 1949.
She worked as a comtrometer operator for Brown Shoe Co. in St. Louis. She was a volunteer for Kansas University’s medical department and a member of Mount Nebo Primitive Baptist Church.
She married Dwight J. Mulford on Dec. 18, 1937, in Union, Mo. He died Dec. 9, 1992.
Survivors include a brother, C. Jeff Brewer; and a sister, Rose Pickering, Honolulu.
The family suggests memorials to the church or Kansas University Endowment Fund, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
