The Meadowlark 4-H Club met Aug. 10 at Pendleton’s farm for a pizza party and business meeting. Shelby Miller, junior president, called the meeting to order. Members answered roll call by naming their favorite thing at the Douglas County Free Fair.

Members were reminded that record books need to be turned in by Oct. 1 to the K-State Research and Extension-Douglas County office. The county achievement celebration will be Nov. 7. Members discussed a “late fee” for entries at next year’s fair.

The next meeting will be Sept. 14 at the fairgrounds. The club will elect officers. Members will meet at 6:30 p.m. before the meeting to make tray favors for Meals on Wheels.
