Leavenworth ? Powered by senior Danielle Huff offensively, and Whitney Juneau and Lisa Pearse on the mound, the Lawrence High softball team swept a doubleheader from Leavenworth, 4-0 and 7-0, Monday.

Huff went 3-for-3 in the first game and 3-for-5 in the nightcap, stroking two doubles and driving in three runs on the day.

Lawrence (3-5 overall, 2-2 Sunflower League) plays Olathe East today.

“We turn around tomorrow and play the top team in the league,” LHS coach Reenie Stogsdill said. “We’re going to have to come ready to play.”
