Evan S. Lloyd

? Graveside services for Evan S. Lloyd, 97, Pittsburg, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Princeton Cemetery.

Mr. Lloyd died Saturday, April 24, 2004, at Medical Lodge North in Pittsburg.

He was born Aug. 3, 1906, in Princeton, the son of Albert Martin and Cora Mabel Moyer Lloyd. He lived in Princeton until he moved to Pittsburg in 2001. He graduated from Ottawa High School in 1926.

Mr. Lloyd was a lifelong stockman and crop farmer. He was a member of United Methodist Church in Ottawa. He served on the Princeton school board and Princeton Recreation Association Board. He also coached baseball.

He married Dorothy May Dodd on March 19, 1943, in Ottawa. She died Jan. 8, 1992.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Tesar, Ottawa, and Connie Womble, Pittsburg; a son, John E., Spring Hill; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa, where family will receive them from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The family suggests memorials to Franklin County Cancer Foundation or American Heart Assn., sent in care of the funeral home, 235 S. Hickory St., Ottawa 66067.
