Royals-Indians postponed because of wet weather

? Heavy rains and more wet weather in the forecast postponed Wednesday night’s game between the Kansas City Royals and Cleveland Indians at Jacobs Field.

No makeup date has been scheduled. The teams will play the finale of their three-game series at 11:05 a.m. today.

Kansas City next will visit Cleveland from July 23-25.

Indians manager Eric Wedge said he’d push C.C. Sabathia (1-0) back one day to start today’s game against Jeremy Affeldt (0-1), who was scheduled to pitch Wednesday.

The Royals won the series opener 15-5 Tuesday, their first road win in seven tries this season.
