Sebelius to sign bioscience bill Monday

? Gov. Kathleen Sebelius will sign the bioscience bill on Monday, her office announced today.

Sebelius will hold signing ceremonies in Liberal, Kan. in the morning and then in the afternoon in Johnson County.

The measure would divert an estimated $500 million over the next 15 years into research and development and establish an 11-member bioscience authority to work with state universities, recruit top scholars and build facilities.

Sebelius will conduct signing ceremonies at 9:30 a.m. at Seward County Community College in Liberal, and then at 3 p.m. in Lenexa.
