— Memorial services for Joseph Charles Ramspott, 27, Hammond, La., will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church in Blair.

Mr. Ramspott died Saturday, March 27, 2004, in Hammond after a car struck him in a hit-and-run accident while he rode his bicycle near his home.

He was born Oct. 2, 1976, in Blair, the son of Edward Lee and Pamela Rose (Kaup) Ramspott.

He graduated from Blair High School in 1995 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in fisheries and wildlife from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2000. At the time of his death he was near completing of a Master of Science degree in biology, which will be awarded posthumously by Southeastern Louisiana University, Hammond.

He had attended St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church and First Lutheran Church, both in Blair.

Survivors include his parents, Blair; a brother, Matthew, Lawrence; and a grandmother, Viola Ramspott, Pender.

The family suggests memorials be sent to P.O. Box 78, Blair, 68008 for a fund to be designated later.
