Burglaries and thefts reported

  • A 19-year-old KU student reported a 2000 Toyota Camry taken between 10:30 p.m. Thursday and 2 a.m. Friday from the 700 block of New Hampshire Street, according to a police report. The car was valued at $11,000.
  • A 47-year-old Lawrence man reported a $1,200 gold and diamond ring taken from a vehicle at an unspecified location between noon Tuesday and 3 a.m. Wednesday, according to a report.
  • A burglar pried open the door of a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe between 3:25 a.m. and 8:51 a.m. Thursday in the 2200 block of Willow Creek Lane and stole stereo amplifiers, a subwoofer speaker, and a detachable-face CD player, police reported.

Condition reports

  • Martin Myslivec, the 28-year-old Lawrence man injured Monday in a wreck near Interstate 435 and State Line Road in Johnson County, remained in critical condition Friday night at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Mo.
  • Elizabeth Coulton, a 20-year-old Lawrence woman who was seriously injured Thursday in a wreck on U.S. Highway 56 southwest of Lawrence in Osage County was listed in serious condition Friday night at University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, Kan.
