Hurley A. Noonen

? Mass of Christian Burial for Hurley A. Noonen, 79, Olathe, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Olathe.

Mr. Noonen died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2003, at his home.

He was born April 5, 1924, in Kansas City, Mo., and lived in the Kansas City metropolitan area most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army and worked in sales before establishing H.A. Noonen Builders Inc., where he worked from 1963 until he retired in 1989. During his retirement, he performed home inspections and served as administrator of the Berkshire Homes Assn.

He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Valleyview Optimist Club, Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus, St. Vincent DePaul Society and the Greater Kansas City Homebuilders Assn. He was also a past president of the Parent-Teacher Organization at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic School and an honorary director of Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Mo.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Noonen, of the home; three daughters, Joyce Ardrey, Westport, Okla., Denise Hamilton, Tulsa, Okla., and Barbara Parks, Olathe; four sons, Robert, Rockton, Ill., James, Topeka, Tom, Overland Park, and Edward, Lawrence; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
