Ethel May Mignot

Mrs. Mignot died Friday, Oct. 10, 2003, at Anderson County Hospital in Garnett.

She was born May 12, 1913, in Vancouver, Canada, the daughter of Lee and Anna (Walters) Sumner. She grew up in the Edgerton area, then lived on a farm north of Wellsville before she moved in 1975 to Ottawa. She graduated from Edgerton High School in 1931.

Mrs. Mignot was a homemaker and member of North Baptist Church in Ottawa.

She married Emory Mignot on Feb. 20, 1934, in Ottawa. He died Dec. 15, 1997.

A daughter, Dorothy Seyler, also died earlier.

Survivors include two daughters, Clarice McLaughlin, Garnett, and Pauline Henery, Goff; three sons, Floyd Mignot and Robert Mignot, both of Wellsville, and Arthur Mignot, Baldwin; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
