Derrel W. Haberly

Wichita ? Services for Derrel W. Haberly, 83, Wichita, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Broadway Mortuary Chapel in Wichita.

Mr. Haberly died Friday, Oct. 10, 2003, in Wichita.

He was born Dec. 11, 1919, in Wayside, the son of Everett Wesley and Alice Lena (Meadows) Haberly.

Mr. Haberly worked as a Boeing modification planner for 33 years.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was awarded the Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars for his service. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason.

Survivors include a son, Ken, Wichita; a daughter, Linda Dick, Lawrence; a brother Doyle, Wichita; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Deanna Haberly, died earlier.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, sent to 435 S. Broadway, Suite 100, Wichita 67202.
