Forsyth-Lubliner/

Emily Forsyth and Howard Lubliner, both of Lawrence, announce their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of Violet and Michael Forsyth, Lawrence, and the late Margaret Forsyth. She is a Lawrence High School graduate. She received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in journalism from Kansas University. She is the communications manager for the Kansas Health Institute, a nonprofit organization based in Topeka.

The future groom is the son of Jean and Larry Lubliner, Chicago. He is a graduate of Deerfield High School in Deerfield, Ill. He received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in civil engineering from KU. He is pursuing a doctoral degree in civil engineering from KU. He has been employed as a civil engineer for the Kansas Department of Transportation in Topeka since 1999.

The couple plan a Nov. 15 wedding at Danforth Chapel in Lawrence.

Masters-Wilkinson

Kimberly Masters and Daniel Wilkinson, both of Lenexa, announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Ronald E. Masters, Clinton, Mo. She is a graduate of Glendale High School, Springfield, Mo. She received a bachelor’s degree in music/vocal performance from Stephen F. Austin State University. She is pursuing a master’s degree in music from Baylor University.

The future groom is the son of John and Marianne Wilkinson, Lawrence. He is a graduate of Topeka High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Washburn University. He is employed as a sales representative for Lanier Worldwide in Overland Park.

The couple plan a Dec. 27 wedding at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lawrence.

Snyder-Werner

B. Kirk and Patti Gerecke, Lawrence, and Terry and Dottie Snyder, Greenbrier, Ark., announce the engagement of their daughter Capt. Michelle Diane Snyder to Capt. Christian Lee Werner, both serving in the U.S. Army.

The future bride is an Ottawa High School graduate. She received a Bachelor of Science from Kansas State University. She is stationed in Darmstadt, Germany, serving in the 66th Military Intelligence Brigade.

The future groom is the son of Richard and P. Jay Werner, Gig Harbor, Wash. He is a Wiesbaden American High School graduate. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Washington. He is stationed in Wurzburg, Germany, serving in the 1st Infantry Division.

The couple plan a Dec. 27 wedding at the Fishers of Men Church in St. James City, Fla. The couple originally planned to be married Memorial Day weekend 2004 in Dallas, but had to reschedule because Werner is leaving for deployment to support Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Woods-Lovitch

Cheryl and Larry Woods of Tatum, Texas, announce the engagement of their daughter Stacey Woods, Placerville, Calif., to Michael Lovitch, Placerville, Calif., son of Fred and Dinah Lovitch, Lawrence.

The bride-to-be is a 1995 graduate of Tatum High School and a 1999 graduate of Texas A&M University.

The future groom is a 1988 graduate of Lawrence High School and a 1993 graduate of Kansas University. He received a master’s degree in communications studies from the University of California, Davis, in 1996. He is employed by Insight Audio.

The couple plan an Oct. 18 wedding at the Shangri-La Caribe Hotel in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
