Sehorn’s return to Rams still questionable

? It might be another week before Jason Sehorn makes his debut with the St. Louis Rams.

Sehorn signed a one-year free-agent deal in May after being released by the New York Giants in a salary-cap move, but broke his left foot in the opening week of training camp.

The Rams had him penciled in as the starting free safety for the Monday night game against the Atlanta Falcons following the team’s bye week, but he was listed as questionable Wednesday.

Coach Mike Martz said it might be too much to expect Sehorn, who resumed practicing two weeks ago, to play right away.

Martz said he would make a decision on Sehorn at the end of the week. But for now Aeneas Williams, who had anticipated moving back to cornerback, will stay at free safety in practice.

Wide receiver Kevin Curtis (broken leg) also is unlikely to play Monday night. Curtis, the team’s third-round pick, was expected back but has had soreness in the leg and was listed as questionable.

Curtis had won the third wide receiver job before breaking the leg in the third preseason game Aug. 23 against the Bills.

“Kevin needs to continue to run each day,” Martz said. “They say the soreness will go out of it very quickly, so Kevin is going to have to tell us when he’s ready.”

Middle linebacker Robert Thomas (groin) was also questionable, while running back Lamar Gordon (wrist) and defensive tackle Ryan Pickett (ankle) were probable. Rookie safety Shane Walton (back) is out this week.
