Jason Fox and Rebecca Barrett, both of Lawrence, announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Rhonda Baldwin, Lancaster, Pa. She received a bachelor’s degree from Juniata College, Huntingdon, Pa., where she studied English and human studies. She is pursuing a doctorate in American studies at Kansas University, where she works as a graduate teaching instructor.

The future groom is the son of Steve and Reba Fox, Clay Center. He graduated from Bethel College, North Newton, where he studied English. He is a graduate instructor in humanities and Western civilization at KU.

The couple plan a December wedding.

Steve and Kathryn Black, Wichita, and Steve and Teri Hare, Topeka, announce the engagement of their children, Kelsea Black and Andrew Hare, both of Lawrence.

The bride-to-be is a 1999 graduate of Wichita Northwest High School. She received a degree in journalism in 2003 from Kansas University.

The future groom is a 1999 graduate of Hayden High School. He plans to graduate in December with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from KU.

The couple plan a July 17, 2004, wedding in Wichita.

Theresa Petermann and David Walker, both of Lawrence, announce their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of Harold and Michele Petermann, Holyrood. She graduated from Fort Hays State University in 1993 with a degree in elementary education. She is a substitute teacher.

The future groom is the son of Donald and Mary Walker, Lawrence. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1985 and Benedictine College in 1989. He is employed at Dillons.

The couple plan a June 19, 2004, wedding at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence.

The bride-to-be is a 1997 graduate of Lawrence High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science in business from Kansas University in 2001. She is employed with Central National Bank.

The prospective groom is a 1997 graduate of Lawrence High School. He earned an associate’s degree from Johnson County Community College. He is employed with Kennedy Glass.

The couple plan an April 3, 2004, wedding in Lawrence.
