Chicago Board of Trade

Wheat prices slumped heavily Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Corn and soybean futures also declined.

Wheat for December delivery fell 11 1/2 cents to $3.88 1/4 a bushel; December corn fell 2 1/2 cents to $2.35 3/4 a bushel; December oats rose 2 3/4 cents to $1.43 1/2 a bushel; January soybeans fell 3 cents to $7.77 a bushel.

Beef futures rose sharply while pork futures finished mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle rose 1.50 cent to 95.12 cents a pound; January feeder cattle rose 1.50 cent to 96.12 cents a pound; December lean hogs rose .43 cent to 50.70 cents a pound; February pork bellies fell .63 cent to 87.02 cents a pound.
