Board to consider van purchase
Bottom line
The board will be asked to approve the purchase of two new V-8, four-speed, eight-passenger vans with tinted glass, cruise control and tilt steering.
A bidding process resulted in an offer from Laird Noller Automotive, Lawrence, of $34,848 for two vans.
Background
Tom Bracciano, the district’s division director of operations and facility planning, said one of the vans would replace a van that was stolen in August from Free State High School. The second van would replace a van destroyed in a traffic accident.
Funding would be drawn from the district’s capital outlay budget.
