Mulvane ? Ottawa High’s softball team scored a run in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 1-1 tie, and the Cyclones held on for a 2-1 victory against Rose Hill Friday in the first round of the Class 4A state tournament.

Ottawa (17-5) will face Chapman (16-6) in the semifinals at 10 a.m. today. The Irish defeated Lucas-Luray, 3-0, Friday.

The winner advances to the 1 p.m. title game, while the loser will play for third place at noon.
