Contact person: Louise Coates, (800) 733-1981

The Alzheimer’s Assn. runs a program called Memories in the Making that encourages people suffering from Alzheimer’s to express themselves through art.

The association would like to provide the program in Lawrence and needs one or two volunteer artists to staff a two-hour weekly session. Volunteers do not need to be professional artists but should be compassionate toward people suffering from dementia. The association will provide training.
