Kansas University senior swimmer Gwen Haley and sophomore tennis player Paige Brown were named to the 2003 Academic All-District VII At-Large Team. Haley was on the 10-member first team and Brown was on the second team.

Haley was the Jayhawks’ top swimmer in 2002-03, earning nine first-place individual finishes and taking two fifth-place finishes at the Big 12 Conference championships. Haley is also a three-time first team Academic All-Big 12 selection.

Brown had a singles mark of 18-15 last season, and was 17-12 in doubles play. Brown was the only Jayhawk to win her singles and doubles matches at the Big 12 Tournament. Brown was a 2003 first team Academic All-Big 12 selection.
