Baldwin softball thumps Burlington

? The Baldwin High softball squad won its first game at its Class 4A regional Monday, beating Burlington 13-1 in five innings because of the 10-run rule.

Kasey Pittenger shut down Burlington, allowing eight hits while striking out five. Kayla Pringle had 3 RBIs for the Bulldogs (13-5), and Kari Garrison scored 2 runs. Anna Skaggs was 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Baldwin plays again Wednesday in the regional semifinals.
