Burglaries and thefts reported

  • A 24-year-old Lawrence woman reported to police that a stereo and other items had been taken from her car about 1 a.m. on May 1. The car was parked at 925 Iowa when the incident occurred. Items stolen and damage to the vehicle’s dash were estimated at $1,384.
  • More than $4,000 was forged at Rex TV, 2800 Iowa, in 2001, according to a report filed Monday with Lawrence Police. A 31-year-old male employee reported the forgery, in which a television, video camera, video tapes and other items worth $4,685 were taken. The incident occurred between Nov. 30 and Dec. 4 of 2001.
  • A Kansas University student reported to Lawrence Police damages of $2,000 to his 1988 F150 4X4 pick-up. The incident occurred at 1025 Emery sometime between 11:15 p.m. Thursday and 1:45 a.m. Friday.
