Norma Lenora Sherve

? Services for Norma Lenora Sherve, 67, Oskaloosa, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Oskaloosa United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery in Oskaloosa.

Mrs. Sherve died Sunday, May 4, 2003, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Nov. 18, 1935, in Warwick, N.D., the daughter of Eivind and Karen M. (Christianson) Peterson. She graduated from Warwick High School in 1953. She lived in Grand Forks, N.D., until 1969, when she moved to Topeka. She moved to Oskaloosa in 1973.

Mrs. Sherve worked for Federal Civil Service at Fort Leavenworth, where she was a dispersing office manager from 1973 until she retired in 1997. She worked at the Commissary at Forbes Field in Topeka from 1969 to 1973. She was a member of Oskaloosa United Methodist Church.

She married Clyde Wesley Sherve on July 3, 1959, in Valley City, N.D. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Cameron Sherve, Lawrence; two daughters, Marcy Brey, Oskaloosa, and Karen Porteous, Overland Park; a brother, Dennis Peterson, San Bernadino, Calif.; three sisters, Thelma Eggleston and Muriel Wessels, both of Tolna, N.D., and Ihlys Peterson, Devils Lake, N.D.; and eight grandchildren.

A daughter, Pamela Jean Sherve, died earlier.

Family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa.
