The Lawrence TGIF Duplicate Bridge Club met April 25 for its weekly competition. Ten and a half tables competed in a stratified game that used a Rover-Mitchell movement. Don Brennaman directed the game.

Playing North-South, Kent McCullough and Clyde Romer finished in first place. Erna Holmes and Frances Vogel placed second. Virginia Seaver and Ginny Johnston took third place. Mike Montgomery and Eldon Herd were fourth in A and first in B. Bebe Huxtable and Ilse Steinhardt finished second in B and first in C.

Competing East-West, Jim Gunn and Harry Shaffer took first place. Dave Piro and Paul Heitzman finished second. Hellen Huffman and Bob Huffman finished third in A and first in B and C. Rose Roth and Shari Krentzel were fourth in A and second in B and C. Glenna Herd and Cathy Blumenfeld took fifth place in A and third place in B.

Olivier Urruty and Dan Osman claimed first place. Artie Shaw and Harriet Olson finished second in A and first in B. Harry Talley and Don Daugherty placed third in A. Hellen Huffman and Bob Huffman took fourth place in A and second place in B. Bill Hamilton and Ann Thompson placed fifth in A and third in B. Al Ballard and Emily Foster finished fourth in B and first in C.

Sitting East-West, Donna Johnson and Paul Heitzman placed first. Jerry Sloan and Emily Foster took second place. Lois Clark and Russell LaForce finished third in A and first in B and C. John Hickey and Jim Kelley placed fourth. Eldon Herd and Mike Montgomery placed second in B.

The University Bridge Club announces winners of its April 26 game. Hosts were Ralph and Jean Dunn and Leonard and Mary Fleske.

Pink team winners were Isabelle Schaake, first; Iva Koleber, second; Hazel Stellmacher, third; Donna Riehm, fourth; and Dottie Miller, fifth.

Blue team winners were Alice Akins, first; Ed Stellmacher, second; Dale Kring, third; Ralph Dunn, fourth; and Leo Langlois, fifth.

The Lawrence chapter 1696 of AARP installed officers at its April meeting. The new officers are Suzanne McColl, president; Phyllis Cross, first vice president; Pattie Johnston, second vice president; Jane Pracht, secretary; and Darlene Hill, treasurer.
