Roxanne Huggins

Mrs. Huggins died Thursday, March 13, 2003, at a Topeka hospice facility.

She was born Dec. 19, 1956, in Lawrence, the daughter of Donald Staden and Shernice Howard. She lived in Topeka most of her life.

Mrs. Huggins attended Wanamaker Woods Church of Nazarene and attended three years of college at Washburn University. She was disabled.

On Aug. 1, 1979, she married Louis W. Huggins, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Marcus F. Knight Jr., Overland Park, and Tytiba A.W. Huggins, Norton; a daughter, Christina A. Huggins, Topeka; her father, Oklahoma City; four brothers, Patrick Newman, Gardner, Donald Staden II, Oklahoma City, and Warren Newman and Derrick Newman, Lawrence; six sisters, Patrice Newman, Topeka, Denise West, Lawrence, Tonya J. Townsend, Austin, Texas, Sonya K. Kemp, Phoenix, Kimberly M. Staden, Oklahoma City, and Dawn W. Banks, Edmond, Okla., and five grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.
