Heat activate Johnson, shelve forward Marks

Miami — The Miami Heat activated center Ken Johnson from the injured list Monday and placed center-forward Sean Marks on the injured list.

Johnson, on the injured list because of a strained back, has played in three games this season.

Marks sprained his left elbow Saturday against Denver. He has played in 23 games and is averaging 2.3 points, 1.5 rebounds and 9.7 minutes.

Hornets’ Davis returns

Westwego, La. — New Orleans Hornets point guard Baron Davis came off the injured list Monday after missing 20 games because of torn cartilage in his left knee. He’s expected to play against Indiana today. Davis was hurt Jan. 26, and his six-week rehabilitation gave him a chance to also rest and treat a herniated disk.

Cavs eye Wagner’s knee

Cleveland — Cavaliers rookie Dajuan Wagner did not practice Monday, and his sprained right knee was examined by a team physician. The Cavaliers did not have the results of the exam yet. Wagner, who injured his knee during the loss at New Orleans Friday night, visited Dr. Richard Parker, the team said.

Lakers’ Jackson travels

Los Angeles — Lakers coach Phil Jackson headed to Chicago with his team Monday, one day after he feared continuing discomfort from a kidney stone would delay his departure. Jackson has had two ultrasound procedures in two weeks to break down the stone. A fragment of the stone caused the 57-year-old coach to lose sleep and complain of back pain last weekend.

Raptors’ Murray done

Toronto — Raptors forward Lamond Murray will not return this season after tearing a ligament in his right foot that required surgery in October.
