Renegades win pair

? Lawrence’s Renegades won two games Saturday to win their pool in the Keystone Blowout youth baseball tournament.

The Renegades defeated the Topeka Cardinals, 4-2, and the Kearney, Mo., Bulldogs, 6-0, to to 3-0 in pool play. They will compete in today’s noon semifinals against a team to be determined.

Spence Chaney, who recorded a save in the opener, pitched a complete-game three-hitter against Kearney, striking out seven. He improved to 4-0.

Ryne Jackson logged the victory against Topeka to improve to 4-1.

Kyle McManness doubled and drove in three runs against Kearney, and Nick Walters and Jackson also doubled.

The Renegades improved to 19-8.
