Emily Thach and Ashford Galbreath

Larry Thach and Terri Thach, both of Burrton, announce the engagement of their daughter Emily Thach to Ashford Galbreath, both of Lawrence.

The future bride is a 1998 graduate of Burrton High School. She is a 2002 graduate of Kansas University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She is employed by the Kansas University Endowment Association.

The future groom is the son of Ashford Galbreath, Troy, Mich., and the late Deanna Galbreath. He is a 1998 graduate of Athens High School, Troy, Mich. He is pursuing a degree in civil engineering at KU.

The couple plan an Aug. 9 wedding in Lawrence.

Shuck-Huddleston

David and Laurie Shuck, Overbrook, announce the engagement of their daughter Dawn Marie Shuck, Emporia, to Justin D. Huddleston, Eudora.

The future bride is a graduate of Santa Fe Trail High School. She is a student at Emporia State University and works at Bluestem Inc. in Emporia.

The future groom is the son of Kenneth and Mary Huddleston, Eudora, and Shirley Huddleston, Emporia. He is employed at Inland Truck in Olathe.

The couple plan a Jan. 3, 2004, wedding.
