Martha LaVera Augustus Sammons

Mrs. Sammons died Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at her home.

She was born Aug. 10, 1917, in Washington, the daughter of William B. and Clara (McNulty) Smith.

Mrs. Sammons worked as a clerk. She was a member of the Christian church.

She married Rex E. Sammons. He later died. She married Guy Augustus. He died earlier.

Survivors include a son, William Augustus, Lawrence; a sister, Wilma Frager, Littleton, Colo.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Ward Funeral Home, Washington.

The family suggests memorials to Washington Christian Church.
