Mary Ann Detwiler

? Services for Mary Ann Detwiler, 65, Ottawa, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Agape Christian Center, Ottawa. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Ottawa.

Mrs. Detwiler died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at her home.

She was born March 16, 1938, in rural Franklin County, the daughter of William and Grace Marie (DeMaranville) Houdashelt. She attended school in Le Loup.

Mrs. Detwiler was a lifelong homemaker. She also worked a short time at Platner Plastics, Ottawa, and was a child-care provider. She was a member of Agape Christian Center.

She married Robert Clayton Detwiler on Dec. 17, 1955, in Ottawa. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include her father, Wellsville; two sons, Michael Detwiler, Ottawa, and Gregg Detwiler, Wilmington, Mass.; two daughters, Donna Diamond, Princeton, Kan., and Lee Ann Francis, Ottawa; a sister, Kathy Brown-Seimears, Wellsville; and seven grandchildren.

A granddaughter, Mandy Diamond, died earlier.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today until service time at Dengel & Son Mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The family suggests memorials to Franklin County Cancer Foundation or Agape Christian Center, sent in care of the mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa 66067.
