George W. Stanwix

Mr. Stanwix died Thursday, July 24, 2003, in Wichita.

He was born Aug. 17, 1931, in Lawrence, the son of Ross and Ella (Scott) Stanwix. He graduated from Perry High School and attended Washburn University.

Mr. Stanwix was a retired owner of Cheyenne Forklift. He was a member of the Humbugs, a Topeka barbershop quartet.

Survivors include his wife, Lois; three sons, Mike, Topeka, Scott, Allen, Texas, and Brian, Wichita; two daughters, Debra Stanwix, Wichita, and Leslie Stanwix, Franktown, Colo.; a brother, Keith, Topeka; and five grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the Kansas Wildlife Assn., sent in care of the funeral home, 935 N. Hillside, Wichita 67214.
