Competing North-South, Lynn Hui and Jo Abbott finished first in A, B and C. Glenna Herd and Judy Bevan were second in A.

Playing East-West, Helen Huffman and Bob Huffman finished first in A and B. Frances Vogel and Dorothy Arth placed second in A.

• The Lawrence TGIF Duplicate Bridge Club met July 18 for its weekly game. The game was sanctioned by the ACBL as a club-qualifying game for the North American Open Pairs. Eleven-and-a-half tables competed in a stratified game that used a Mitchell movement. Don Brennaman directed the game.

Sitting North-South, Clyde Romer and Kent McCullough placed first in A and B. Patt Radford and Sally Taylor finished second in A and B. Harriet Olson and Nita Scales were third in A and B and first in C. Don Daugherty and Harry Talley took fourth in A and B and second in C. Virginia Eddy and Shirlie Vaughn were fifth in A and B and third in C.

Playing East-West, Paul Heitzman and Dave Piro were first in A. Donna Munson and Mary Fenlon placed second in A and first in B. Lois Clark and Betty Collier finished third in A, second in B and first in C.

• The University Bridge Club met July 19. Hosts were George and Ailene Bocquin with Ed and Hazel Stellmacher.
