The Lawrence Duplicate Bridge Club met Monday for its weekly game. The stratified game attracted 9 1/2 tables and used a Mitchell movement. Virginia Seaver directed the game.

Playing North-South, Chris Lane and Shirley Reese claimed first place in A and B. Clyde Romer and Steve Phillips finished second in A and B. Larry Bodle and Kent McCullough took third place. Terry Tolar and Harry Shaffer placed third in B. Mike Montgomery and Rhonda Montgomery finished first in C.

Sitting East-West, John Hickey and Patt Radford finished in first place. Alice Leitch and Frances Vogel took second place in A and first place in B and C. Paul Heitzman and Dave Piro took third place in A. Eldon Herd and Don Brennaman finished fourth in A and second in B. Don Bush and Bob Huffman placed third in B and second in C.

• The Lawrence 299ers Duplicate Bridge Club met July 9 for its weekly match. Eleven pairs competed in a stratified game that used a Howell movement. Don Brennaman directed the game.

Bob Huffman and Don Bush claimed first place in A and B. Chuck Hedges and Don Bush finished second in A. Gary Joyce and Mary Joyce came in third place. Eldon Herd and Don Brennaman placed fourth. Art Retsema and Everard Hughes placed second in B. Lynn Hui and Jo Abbott took first place in C.

• The University Bridge Club met July 12. Hosts were Jane and John Golden with Paul Jordan and Marty Hartman.

Pink winners were Bette Lukens, first; Wanda Kring, second; and Jean Dunn, third.

Blue winners were Dale Kring, first; Bud Lukens, second; and Maynard Bouleke, third.
