Regina G. (Pollard) Brunette

Memorial services for Regina G. (Pollard) Brunette, 79, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Private inurnment will be at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, Gladstone, Mich.

Ms. Brunette died Thursday, July 10, 2003, at Brandon Woods Retirement Community.

She was born Sept. 1, 1923, in Escanaba, Mich., the daughter of Henry Joseph and Rose Anna (Viau) Brunette.

She moved to Kansas in 1941 to work at Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant. She had also worked at Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator and was a nurse’s aide at Lawrence Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 1981. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Survivors include a son, Thomas J. Pollard, Lawrence; two daughters, Barbara Ann Roberts, Lawrence, and Jean M. Altis, Santa Paula, Calif.; two sisters, Iona Goodyear, Topeka, and Marie Lanaville, Port Huron, Mich.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice Care in Douglas County, sent in care of the funeral home.
